Using this website

By using this website, you agree to these terms and our Privacy policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the website. This website is operated for the NASA Space Apps Kandy local event and community.

Event participation

Submitting a local form does not guarantee selection, admission, sponsorship, or a place at an event. Participation may also require registration with the global programme and agreement to the official NASA Space Apps legal terms and code of conduct as well as reasonable instructions communicated by the Kandy organising team.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, submit unlawful or harmful material, impersonate another person, or use automated tools to overwhelm forms or services.

Information you submit

You are responsible for ensuring that information you provide is accurate and that you have permission to share it. Do not submit passwords, financial details, confidential records, or another person's personal information unless a form specifically requests it and you are authorised to provide it.

Content and intellectual property

Website text, layouts, graphics, and local branding may be protected by intellectual property rights. NASA names, insignia, programme material, challenge content, and third-party assets remain the property of their respective owners. These terms do not transfer ownership of your project ideas or event submissions.

External websites and services

Links to NASA Space Apps, Google services, partner websites, and other external resources are provided for convenience. Those services are controlled by their respective operators and may apply separate terms and privacy policies.

Accuracy and availability

We aim to keep local event information accurate and the website available, but schedules, venues, eligibility, programme details, and content may change. Check official updates before making travel, spending, or participation decisions.

Responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website is provided as available without guarantees of uninterrupted operation. The Kandy organising team is not responsible for losses caused by reliance on outdated information, external services, user devices, or events outside its reasonable control.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the website, local event, or applicable requirements change. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply from the date shown above.
